This story tells us of a sophomore at Furman who was illegally "adopted" and found out at the age of 18 that she was not a US citizen and that the people she knew as her parents, weren't legally her parents because they basically stole her under false pretenses from an orphanage. The betrayal plunged her into a years-long court battle for citizenship.

Nominated for a Southeast Student Emmy in the Hard News category.

Kanga Koolers is the story of a company that started out as a class project, that grew into a Shark Tank Company, and is now a thriving brand. Hannah Koch tells their story in a project she created for her Advanced Storytelling Class.
